It suits adult viewers who enjoy satisfying revenge stories with English subtitles.
Punisher of the Wicked: Plot Summary
Chen Lei, a young office worker fresh out of university, wants to give his live-in girlfriend Lin Xiaoting a stable life. When he proposes, she demands a huge bride price and her name on the deed to his flat. He cannot pay and ends the relationship, and the next day the police arrive to take him away.
In court, Lin Xiaoting denies they were ever a couple, his evidence is dismissed, and he is sentenced to three years. Prison does not break him; it leaves him determined to set things right. Released and wearing his trademark suspenders, Chen Lei becomes a vigilante who works in the dark, and his first target is the ex-girlfriend who framed him and kept the down payment on his flat.
Who the Punisher Goes After Next
Settling his own score is only the beginning. Chen Lei turns on people who profit from fake relationships and false accusations, and each arc is a complete act of justice:
- The influencer who marries for money: Vivian shares her "get rich" method on a livestream: marry an honest man quickly, then falsely accuse him of abuse to split the assets. The Punisher tracks her down past her bodyguards, refuses her bribe, and makes sure every stolen cent goes back to the victim.
- The campus beauty who plays her admirers: Bai Jie, an adult university student, spends money her admirers scraped together on designer bags and mocks them for thinking they deserve love. The Punisher makes her pay back every one of them, and flattery gets her nowhere.
- The honey-trap extortion gang: Sister Long's gang frames honest men for harassment and demands huge payouts under threat of prison. The Punisher storms their hideout, shuts the scheme down and returns the money to the victims.
All characters in the series are adults.
