Madou Media announced on April 2, 2026 that it had permanently ceased operations, so it is no longer an option for viewers. If you still want adult content with a story, you can switch to episodic adult short dramas on a platform such as HONG LUO. A short drama tells one story across a series of episodes, with characters, conflict and a connected plot, and the site interface is available in 15 languages, including Traditional Chinese.
What Was Madou Media, and Is It Still Operating?
Madou Media was a Chinese-language adult film production and distribution company founded in 2019. On April 2, 2026, the company announced that it had permanently ceased operations, citing piracy and drastic changes in the industry environment in its announcement. Any mention of Madou Media should therefore be understood as referring to a company that has closed, not to a platform you can watch today.
After Madou Media Closed, Where Can You Watch Story-Driven Content?
If what you enjoyed was adult content with a plot and defined characters, adult short dramas are worth considering. These series are released in episodes, and each one has a complete storyline from the opening through the turning points to the finish, so watching feels like following a TV series. On HONG LUO, each series is watched in episodes, starting from episode one.
What Are the Main Features of Adult Short Dramas?
- Episodic: Each story is split into episodes, every episode moves the plot forward, and relationships develop as the story unfolds.
- Vertical and horizontal: HONG LUO offers both vertical and horizontal series. Vertical works well on a phone, while horizontal suits a computer or tablet.
- Multilingual interface and subtitles: The site interface is available in 15 languages, with subtitles in multiple languages for viewers who speak different languages.
- 18+ confirmation: When you enter the site, you are first asked to confirm that you are 18 or older.
